Post 200!!!

So, this is my 200th post. I have been waiting to post so I could think of something awesome to share or give away, but nothing has come to me....yet. Those of you who have followed my blog have gone through a lot with me! ER visits (Dallin, Preston, Tayla and Kolby), pregnancy, birth of my darling girl, my good days and my bad. I love having a blog. I look forward to posting little pieces of my life that I think you may enjoy. It's hard to keep in touch with all my family and friends and blogging has helped you keep in touch with us! Thanks for reading it, and commenting on it. And now, drumroll please......I am doing a give-away! To be entered please leave a comment about a favorite post. The prize is your choice of a sweet from my "Sweets by Beth" menu. If you are not familiar with "Sweets by Beth" the menu includes: divinity, caramel, pies, cheesecakes, fudge, cake rolls and chocolate strawberries. If you are out of town, sorry but you will have to choose divinity, caramel or fudge. Good Luck! I am now going to re-post one of my favorite posts:

For my 100th post I wanted to share something with you about wildflowers. My love of wildflowers “blossomed” about 5 years ago. I was fascinated with these beautiful, strong and persevering plants. The colors in the forest don’t just jump out at you; you have to be careful to notice. My favorite ones are called scarlet gila and are a beautiful bright red cone shaped. They are very random and you never know where you will find them. They don’t grow too high and the flowers are pretty small so you have to look hard to see them. We would drive slowly down the dirt roads on the way to camping and see if we could spot these wildflowers. The thing I love most about wildflowers in general are their will for life. I see them growing out of rocks and hard dirt. Not the most ideal conditions! They just seem to find a way to grow and spread their beauty all around for those who see them. Many of the wildflowers I love are considered weeds and I have seen vacant lots here in the city full of the beautiful flowers only to be plowed down by someone who didn’t understand their beauty. The thing is: they still grow back. I have met many women and have been inspired and amazed at their beauty and talents. The funny thing is, they only see themselves as mere weeds. They allow themselves to be plowed over and don’t see the true beauty they are. I consider all of us wildflowers. We don’t need to be in a fancy garden to show our beauty. Some of us simply grow up in the crack of a rock or on a hillside of dirt. Some of us grow under bushes and trees and hope to be noticed. Some of us feel like we are growing in a huge field with thousands of other flowers just like us but don’t realize the strength and beauty there is in numbers. We all have the drive and the will to grow and show who we really are even if we don’t realize it yet. I have found my greatest friends among wildflowers. I have had to look closely and go slowly, but what I have found is worth it. The wildflowers I have found don’t even see a tenth of how wonderful they are, but I know someday they will. Thank you all for being my wildflower friends and sharing your random beauty with me. When the world sees weeds, I see a flower and would gladly plant it in my yard anytime. Beth

Yeah! I want to be entered into your drawing because (one of ) my favorite of your blogs was when you shared your secrets and recipe of your amazing cheesecakes. I was SO very impressed and of course had to keep back the drooling. Thank you for sharing your recipe and pictures (i'm a visual learner), but I'm just not sure I can make them like you!! Love you blogging and here's to another 100!!!!!! I'm sure I'll still be reading!!!

I'm so new to this blogging stuff that I think I missed the first 190 posts. I have to say my favorite since I joined in was the story about your lost diamond and Kolby wanting it for his future girlfriend. Kids say the darnedest things. Loved the cheesecake one, too. I've been wanting the recipe for your triple chocolate one you had at relief society that one time. lol. I can't imagine my blog being 200 posts.

I can't say that I have a favorite post, but I was remembering one of my favorite pictures. It was back in August and it was the one where all of your boys are alseep in the car. What are the odds that you could get all 4 alseep at the same time in the car? Love your blog Beth, it's been fun staying in touch with your family.

Beth I love your blog, I love being able to keep up with your family, especially now that we are no longer in Boise. ~Here's to another 200 posts!~

One of my favorite posts of yours was the one with the fairy houses. I love the simple act of nurturing the kids imagination. It was a reminder to me to take that kind of time in my kids day to make it special.

Of course all the pictures of Cheesecakes are like eye candy.

Beautiful analogy regarding the wildflowers! I've been thinking all morning with my fading memory but one thing stood out in my mind that I thought was cute. I can't even remember how long ago this post was but one of kids spilled milk and Dallin was looking at it on the floor and said that it looked like a Christmas tree. Low and behold it looked exactly like a Christmas Tree.

LOL - I really don't need the extra calories, but I would like to tell you my favorite post! It's the Fairy House post where the boys all set up their very own little houses and you guys left presents for them. It's such a neat thing to see the imaginative, caring side of little boys! You can find anecdotes about their dirt and burps and farts, LOL, but it's not very often that you hear these sweet little "tending" stories! :-)
