One of my all time favorite things to enjoy in the hot weather is a shaved ice. We have one just down the street from us and they opened yesterday! We each got one for our family night treat and it was so yummy! I had Kolby in August and remember going every day during July. I will try to restrain myself, but man they are just so good! Apollo Nectar is my favorite with a little ice-cream on top.
We also visited the firework store to get Preston's birthday present. He LOVES fireworks and talks about them all year. I found a place that sells them year round about halfway to Mountain Home. It was so worth the the drive! The prices were great and we have lots of fireworks to celebrate his day tomorrow! Kirk wants me to go back and stock up for the fourth before the prices go up. Maybe next week before the kids are out of school I'll go.

Oh I'm so jealous! We were told our shaved ice place was going to be sold at the end of last summer. I'm not sure if it's true or not so maybe we'll have to go check this weekend. There's not another one around here so I hope not!
And I'm totally jealous of your quite day! Wow! What a treat!
