On Friday when it started to snow I was thinking, this won't last long, this won't stick....my boys sure had fun in it! I don't know exactly how much we got, but snowballs were flying and the boys were "sledding" on the hill at the end of the street. Tayla even tasted her first snowball and loved it! Then I got to thinking about Saturday and how we had signed up for a "fun run" at the boys and girls club in Garden City. I dressed like it was winter! But it turned out good and the boys had a ball. When we got moving we warmed up quite a bit. After the run they had lunch and a community fair set up with a jump house and booths from different companies. The highlight was getting a picture with Miss Idaho....well the highlight for me at least, the boys were very embarassed.
After that was over I took Kolby and Preston to a birthday party in Nampa. It was way out there in the country. The party also had a jump house! When we left, I figured I knew where we were going and set off. Then I got turned around and thought I was going the wrong way and turned around. I was going the right way the first time (can you see where this is going?) So I kept driving and nothing looked familiar. I thought maybe I would see Kuna by now, but nothing. A little later (well about 35 minutes) I had no idea where I was and was feeling a bit of panic because I was completely out of gas! It was on empty. So I decide to turn on a street and see where it goes....maybe Melba is nearby? Nothing. We went in a huge circle only to end up where we started. I just kept praying I wouldn't run out of gas because I had no idea where I was and there was nothing around us. By now we had been driving for an hour and I was just hoping to find any sign of civilization....I finally saw a Chevron sign and you wouldn't believe how happy I felt! Then I went in and told them I was trying to get to Boise and they looked at me like I was crazy. (I was very lost!) I figure I was miles outside of Nampa. It took a while to get to Nampa and then the freeway. So we left the party at 1:50 and returned home at 3:30! After that we had to rush to Dallins pre-school party which ended at 4:00, but it is a manditory meeting and I could NOT miss it. I was wiped out by the end of the day!
And then today...today has been a huge roller coaster of emotions for me...I can't exactly tell you why yet, the news will break next Sunday....but this should be a busy week with a possibility of Kirk's parents coming out this weekend. Let's get ready for a crazy ride!!!! Beth
