Happy Birthday Mom! You’ve been my biggest cheerleader always encouraging me to follow my dreams. You have never judged me or offered me unwanted advice, only watched and supported. I appreciate that you have trusted me enough throughout my life to let me grow and learn on my own. You have passed down your love of music to me and I love to hear you sing, play piano or violin. I have heard often that I look like you and that we have the same smile. I hope I can be an example to my children like you have been to me. Despite all the trials, struggles and difficulties raising a family can bring, you met them head on. I wouldn’t be who I am today without you as my Mom. I wouldn’t have it any other way. You have shown me the beauty this world can offer. Simple things like a big red tulip, a beautiful flower garden, the mountains, a blue wildflower, a ladybug, a rainbow, the sun shining through a window and the power of a hug and a card. I share your love of books and learning and remember you letting me check out 10 books at a time at the library. I am glad you are only a phone call or e-mail away! Even though we don’t get one on one visits very often, I still feel close to you. When we do get a “date” I love going to the movies with you or out to eat. Thanks for making me feel so loved, beautiful, talented and strong. You always give me compliments and they mean so much to me. Thanks also for loving my children and being a good Grandmother to them. I hope I look as good as you when I am your age!!!! Have a great day, Love Beth
