My command center

Well, looking at this before picture, I knew I had some work ahead of me!! This area has become a catch all for mail, office/art supplies, coupons, cookbooks and who knows what else!!! I decided to move the cookbooks first.

This is the space under my microwave which has also become a catch all for recipes and other stuff. The bread box had to go even though I love it, it's just a mess.

The cook books look great here, and believe it or not, I cut my collection by half!!!! I love cooking and I LOVE my cook books. I really enjoy them here by the stove.

Ok, so the cook book problem was solved, but the bakers rack wasn't working, so I remembered this old desk we had in our shed. It was mine as a little girl and has been brown, white and blue at one time or another. I had extra paint from our front room so I just used that. I also painted some old handles Kirk had in the shed black.

I am so so happy with it! I feel so calm when I look at it. The drawers are designated for certain things (phone books, printer papers, coupons and planning folders.) As long as I can keep to the system they shouldn't get too cluttered. I am also putting a garbage can near by for mail garbage and I need to hang a file system on the right wall for the kids school papers. Kirk is also going to make a shelf for under the desk to utilize all the space and keep things better organized. I love it!!! Beth
