Cereal, Clothes, Clocks and Cupcakes

Wow I didn't realize all those "C's" for this post! How funny! What is the special occasion for all of this blogging and shopping? Well, Kirk took the boys fishing tonight! (On a boat!!) Woo Hoo! So It was just the girls. And girls like to shop-at least I do, Tayla was pretty tired by the third store...

Anyway, I wanted to share this great deal. Albertson's paid me .50 cents for these ten boxes of cereal! WOW huh? Between catalinas, coupons and doublers I made money off of this purchase!

Good thing I saved so much money because I had to buy back to school clothes/uniforms for the three boys. I think they will look so nice wearing them!! (Evil mommy laugh...) There are brown and blue shorts and pants and blue and grey shirts. There was the option of yellow or white shirts as well, but boys and those colors don't mix! I can't wait to take first day of school pictures!

And while I was out shopping for uniforms I picked up this cute clock for the wall by the door.

I wanted one we could look at as we are getting ready to go. I can never have too many clocks, I'm serious!

And last of all the cute cupcakes I made for a dessert for someone I was taking dinner to tonight. They are lemon cake with a strawberry "flower" and some coconut sprinkled around.

I printed a fancy dinner menu and little note from our family. It was fun to make it a little more special. I marinated chicken, roasted potatoes with rosemary, cut fresh veggies from our garden for a salad and added some grapes and cheese. I LOVE doing this kind of thing. If I am ever in charge of bringing dinner to someone I make it special. It is a fun way to serve. She called me later and was so thankful for the effort I put into it. What a way to end my evening.
