Over the years I have perfected the routine of getting my four boys and I ready for church by myself by 9:00 am. I wanted to share these tips and my timeline in case any of you need a little extra help!
5:30-wake up Kirk so he can get to his 6:00 meetings on time
7:00-wake up and start making dinner in the crockpot. (this is usually a roast and potatoes or chicken and sauce or this past Sunday I made a meatloaf which was pretty yummy)
7:20-the boys are usually awake by now and I make them my special homemade pancakes every Sunday morning.
7:40-breakfast is in full swing and I start on my hair and make-up.
8:00-the boys get dressed in white shirts, ties, blue dress pants, black socks and black dress shoes which have all been laid out the night before. They also take showers/baths the night before because we just don't have time Sunday morning. (Sometimes Dallin needs a bath after his sticky syrup pancake breakfast, but I try to just wipe him down really good!)
8:15-I finish my hair, get Dallin dressed, help tie shoes if needed.
8:30-I get dressed (clothes laid out night before) and start packing the diaper bag with books, pens, cheerios and diapers. (this I sometimes do the night before)
8:45-Kirk is usually home by now and he combs the boys hair so I can finish up any last minute lipstick or whatever.
8:50-Leave for church!
When Kirk first had early meetings I didn't have it all together and we were often late for church. (I only had 3 kids back then). But I find with a little prep the night before I still have time to make pancakes and get everyone ready by 9:00. I am glad I'm able to do it. I feel like it's a big accomplishment to get us all to church on time looking nice. Just one of those things in my Mommy world that make me feel good! And next week we get to do it all again!

Wow that is quite the routine. Although with 4 I'm sure you don't have much of a choice.
Can you share your pancake recipe? I would love a good homemade one to try! :)
