Such a good kid!

This morning I took Dallin to the dentist. We've been there many times in the past and all morning I talked about how fun it was and how he would get to watch tv (they have tv's mounted in the ceilings for the kids to watch while laying down). The other apts were just for cleanings, but this time he had to have a few places on his front tooth fixed. I can't remember the medical term for his problem, but basically when his teeth were developing they were missing some nutrients (like from a fever or illness) and they grew in with weak enamal. We've watched them closely since and every three months we would have a flouride treatment since he was one. Anyway, one of the spots developed a cavity and it needed to be drilled and filled. He layed down in the chair let them put his "space" gas mask on and didn't even need a shot. The dentist started drilling and he layed there calmly watching Dora. I was amazed! He did so well, they decided to fix the bottom two teeth which don't have cavities but probably will sometime because of the weak spots. In all he was in the chair for 30 minutes and got three prizes from the basket. I wish he was this calm when he had his stitches put in! It was a nice change for him to be so good! His teeth look great too, no more yucky spots!
