Arrow of Light!

We had a wonderful night last night!  Preston was awarded his Arrow of Light.  I kept telling him it was a big deal.  He didn't realize it until we got there and saw everything decorated.  The Arrow of Light is the highest award you can earn in Cub Scouts.  You can also wear it on your Boy Scout uniform (there's only two awards you can do that with!)  I had to do it in "Beth" style, so bring on the cupcakes and display table!!! (Sorry there's no pictures of the actual cupcakes, but I made about 80 cupcakes for the dessert.  Oreo, peanut butter cup and strawberry cream-in case you were wondering )

In addition to earning his Arrow of Light, he earned his Webelo's badge, religious knot, compass patch and one point, his engineer, readyman and outdoorsman pins.  Out of the 20 pins you can earn while a Webelo Preston earned 13.  He also has earned 13 belt loops.

The leaders worked so hard and made the stage into an amazing camping scene.  They did a cool arrow ceremony and he made promises to keep the law of the pack and continue on to Boy Scouts.

He crossed the bridge where the scoutmaster (Kirk) was waiting for him along with Logan, Kolby and other leaders.  I love this picture!  Look at Dallin watching!  It's so adorable.

Here's me and all my boys.  I feel bad Tayla wasn't in the picture, but I couldn't find her.  She was off playing in the church somewhere!

My parents also came, they are wonderful supporters of my family!!

I invited all of Preston's leaders through the years to come.  They have all helped him so much along the way!!  I am so thankful to all of them.  They've helped Preston discover his talents and feel good about accomplishing his goals.  

It turned out to be a really good night.  Preston HATES the spotlight.  He doesn't like pictures or attention in any way, but what he told me at the end of the night says it all.  "That wasn't so bad."
