It's Snow Fun!

Is it just me, or did we get tons of snow this year!!!?  It's been so fun for the kids!  (Especially when we had that snow day)  I had to post a few fun memories of the snow from January:

Making snow ice cream.  It's super sweet, but it works for us!

Get some snow (I just left a few cookie pans out for an hour and they filled up nicely!)

Mix in 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and a tsp of vanilla.

Stir it up well....

Eat it all gone!  Tayla has been waiting a long time to make this snow ice-cream (over a year!)  I'm so glad she finally got some!

Tayla claims her favorite snack is snow.  And "really cold water because it tastes like melted snow."  She spent most of her time eating it.

Preston was in heaven and shoveled the entire block. (not really, it just seemed like it!)  That kid loves to work and shoveling snow is one of his favorite jobs!!  We have some lucky neighbors!

The trampoline had plenty of use on snowy days, they even built a "snow slide" from the edge.

Another fun adventure I got to take with the older boys is sledding at Grimes Creek near Idaho City.  I went with the youth group and we had a blast!

Kolby scared me, he had no fear and would climb up so high and just fly down the mountains!  The snow wasn't too deep, it was pretty icy and FAST!!  I thought we would be leaving with a broken arm or leg!

Cheesy picture with the snowman!

The whole group of us

I loved this shot of the kids just sitting and having some hot chocolate.

Here's me trying to be a cool photographer, but really it was so much prettier in person!  The ice layers over the creek were just gorgeous!!!

By the way, did I tell you that I HATE snow and cold with a passion???  I do, but I know it can be fun and it brings so much joy to my kids.  I can't deny the beauty of it either, but I would rather enjoy it from inside.

I can't wait for spring.  My favorite season!!!  Beth

That snow ice cream is genius. I wonder what it would taste like if you also threw in some root beer concentrate? Reminds me of the Snow Shack. Good memories.
