Basketball, cake pops and books

I haven't been taking very many pictures lately, and my pictures are what prompt my blog posts, so I need to be much better at that!  What have I been doing for the past few weeks?  Let's see...

Lots of basketball!  Fortunately the coaches heard my plea and put Logan and Kolby on the same team.  That cut down on the games they had and their practice schedule is the same.  I love watching them play, their team isn't doing great, but that's ok!

I made a lot of goodies for Valentines Day this year, but not as much as years past!!  As always, cake pops are the favorite among the elementary crowd.  I also made kiss cookies and chocolate strawberries.

I helped with the cub scout blue and gold banquet this week.  I did some really simple centerpieces and made 60 cheesecake parfaits with strawberries and blueberries, but sorry I forgot to take a picture of them!  They looked really yummy!! (I didn't do the cute pinwheels though, I just wish I did!)

Dallin also was awarded his Bobcat badge.  I am soooooo excited this is my last Bobcat.  I've been going to cub scouts for 6 years straight now, and let's just say, we're a little tired. :)  (Only 2 1/2 years to go!!)  See my necklace with all the Mother's pins?  There's 24 pins on it now!

In other exciting news/organizing news I have been working on my plan for my 10,000 plus pictures.  I have been going through the digital ones, deleting tons of the ones I won't ever want or scrapbook, ordering them and organizing them in these cute boxes.  There's one box for every two years starting with 1996 when we were married.  It's been working awesome so far, and I have been getting a lot more scrapbooking done this way.  I had to tackle my craft room again, but I think this time it will work.

I tackled my basement as well, and made this awesome wall of books so I could get rid of a bookcase.  I think it looks so cool!  I had this sign for years, and it fits perfectly above the books.  The table is big enough for the kids to do homework or artwork on it too!!

I have also cleaned out all of my kitchen cupboards except one.  I'm so proud of this, it's such a pain!!!  I am learning that less really is more.  Well, I will stop now before this post becomes a novel!  I am excited to share my new scripture study program and my awesome banana bread recipe in future posts.  Beth
