I made it through!

I don't know why I am posting now, I should just go to bed or something, but today has been a great day and I just had to reflect on on the past weeks.  I knew this month was going to be crazy, and I was right.  But sometimes things just work out.  The wedding I was going to do on the 17th was postponed.  I found out the day before I left for girls camp.  I was so sad because I've been planning it for a while now, but I felt like something was lifted off my very full plate and it felt nice.  I had an AMAZING time at girls camp.  It was so fun being with the girls and crafting every day.  I will do a whole post on it soon.  I got home Saturday afternoon and didn't even get a shower in when the counselor in the bishopric came over to visit.  I was so nervous about it because I had just had so many good things happen with the young women at camp and I knew I wasn't going to be the personal progress leader anymore.  Imagine how happy I was to learn I was going to be the 1st counselor!!!  Now I get to be even more involved with activities and the girls.  I've been in there close to three years now, and I hope for many more!!

I was baking like crazy that Saturday (after my shower!!)  I made 2 cheesecakes for a friends surprise birthday party on Sunday.  Sunday I made a cheesecake for Kolby's late birthday dinner on Monday.  We also had fried chicken, potatoes, corn on the cob and soda's.  Tuesday I made a cheesecake for one of the girls 16th birthday.  I also made cake pops for another birthday party.  Wednesday I made treats for the activity.  Thursday I made a "lego" cake for the birthday party and I made a cheesecake for one of the pre-school teachers birthday.  Friday I made caramels for the fair.  Saturday I made two yummy salads, 4 loaves of zucchini bread, barbecue sauce and got the crock pots out to make baked beans and slow roasted pulled pork.  Sunday (today) we had some family over to celebrate with Kolby (he was ordained a Deacon today) and then just for fun this afternoon I made a blackberry pie.  I am not done either!!  I still need to make divinity and fudge for my "candy box" entry at the fair.

This week I have some goals.
Finish and enter stuff for the fair on Tuesday.
Get the kids school stuff ready and clothes shopping done.
Have some end of summer fun!!!!!  And rest too :)

Logan and Kolby start football tomorrow, Kolby registers for Junior High on Tuesday, Logan on Wednesday and then Friday night is a campout for the older boys.  I think I may just treat the rest of us to a night at the fair or something!!

Posts I want to do soon: Vacation part 3, Kolby turns 12, Girls Camp.

Good night!!!  Beth
