Seven years!

What Dallin woke up to this morning

Dallin is such a wonderful boy!!  I can't believe he's seven!  He has always been one step behind with all these big brothers, but he's now starting to hold his own.  He's in school all day, he can keep up on his bike and he can play the bigger games the boys play like football and tag (these are the Banister Boy versions and can be pretty creative and crazy!!)  He has benefited from all those older brothers in good and bad ways.  Good: he's so ready to face the world and so independent.  Bad: he is a little too smart for his own good and he gets away with way too much.  But geesh, who wouldn't with eyes like his?!

Dallin is so funny to have around.  He's always making silly faces, saying funny things and smiling.  He has such joy for life and endless energy.  He's my social butterfly!  A day can't go by without a friend coming over or him visiting one.  He makes friends with anyone.  He also is a lady's man.  Seriously, of all my boys he is the one I am worried about most.  He has several girls in class he talks about.  He also asks crazy/deep questions like "how did Heavenly Father make our eyes?"  He thinks about everything and I often wonder what is going on in that brain of his.  Dallin is very adventurous with his food too.  He'll eat ANYTHING!!  He has been known to eat chicken feet and oysters.  He needs to go to some crazy exotic place on his mission because he loves weird foods.  Dallin is also very athletic and loves to run and play any sports.  He's good at them all.  He has been able to hit a baseball since he was three and he can throw footballs and shoot basketballs like nothing!  I am so excited for him to be growing up and can't wait to see what he does in the future.  Here are a few shots of his birthday celebrations:
