First day of preschool!

The day finally arrived!!  Tayla's first day of school.  She goes to the 3-4's class at Boise Cooperative Preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two hours.  This first week only half of the class went on Tuesday and the other half on Thursday.  It is a good way for the kids   (and parents) to transition to preschool and get used to the schedule, so only eight kids were in class.  Next week all the class will be there.  I got to be helper on her first day and got some fun pictures!!

The first thing she did was play with the kitchen area!  This dramatic play area changes every few months.

Here's Tayla with her name tag.

She loved the sensory table full of rice.  She came back to this several times.  This also changes during the year.

They did a fast and slow dance with ribbons and she had a ball squealing and jumping around!

Everyone sang Happy Birthday to her for snack time and I brought orange mini cupcakes and strawberries.

The last part of class is spent outside playing, and this is how she felt when I told her it was time to go....I think she had a wonderful day and I can't wait until next week!  All of my kids have gone to this preschool and I love it!!  I am also on the board again in the teacher support position and get to help plan the field trips.  I see a pumpkin patch in our future :) Beth

It would feel so weird to have all the kids gone during the day. Enjoy you're new found time...even if it is a couple of hours.
