Just Start

I have been really overwhelmed with my yard.  I look at it and feel depressed.  And now that it is spring, I just can't leave it alone!  I look at it every day and never know what to do because there's so much to do!  It's also been hard to get my family on board with helping me.  Well, yesterday, I started.  I looked at my brick path and thought "I can just start by pulling those weeds" After about two minutes, I had two awesome helpers sitting right by me-Tayla and Dallin.  They could pull the weeds in between the bricks with their little fingers!  It was awesome!  And Tayla went and got a little broom and pan and was thrilled to sweep up all the little weeds!  About 5 minutes later two more helpers emerged from the house.  Logan and Kolby began shoveling the rocks that needed to be moved and taking loads away in the wheelbarrow.  Preston was close behind them with the blower, cleaning off the patio and driveway.  Kirk then showed up and started mixing some dirt for me to spread around and plant in.  It went on like this for a few hours!  I planted several plants in the front, a planter and we planted some garden vegetables too.  I was thrilled!!  Look what happened just from starting.  I didn't have to nag, plead or beg.  I just started.  Beth

It's amazing what happens around the house when the mommy leads out. What a great example you are!
