It really does take a village...

To teach my children!!!!

This is my stack of thank-you notes (with a large chocolate bar too!) for all of the amazing teachers who influence my boys at school.  I can't even tell you how much I love the teachers there.  I have seen a lot of things first hand this year because I made it a goal to volunteer at least once a week.  Many weeks I would go twice.  After 3 hours in a classroom, I was exhausted!!  Yet they do it every day, all day!  There are so many things that go on.  There are a lot of challenges in each of my boys classrooms.  Many kids don't speak English, some are deaf, some have special needs.  But the teachers still manage to have individual plans for each child and still manage to challenge my boys.  They have been able to have choir and orchestra classes, advanced reading and math, art and extra after school activities like robotics club, track and basketball.  All of the coaches, specialists and student teachers amaze me.  I am so happy with the close school atmosphere they have, they focus on a value each month and really teach them life lessons.  I am sure I couldn't do this on my own, and I am so thankful for the gifts and talents the teachers share with my boys.  Just wait until you see what I have in store for the teachers tomorrow!!!  Beth
