Where I've been...

In the kitchen, every day almost all day, making cheesecakes, caramels, divinity, and gift bags for friends. Doing the dishes and then doing it all again. I love my kitchen, I love baking, but I am getting a little tired of it. Last night I made a quick dinner of rice and chicken because I didn't think all the caramels the boys were inhaling were nutritionally sound (all though there is cream and butter in them!) Here's the tally so far in the past three days: 2 batches of caramels, 3 batches of divinity, 3 cheesecakes, 20 gift bags waiting to be filled-and I have many more to go. So that's where I have been except the occasional store run when I need more Karo. Cream cheese was on sale at Walmart the other day and I bought a case, so I'm good there! I told Kirk I needed another Kitchen Aid, then I won't have to wait to soak the bowl before I need it again, but I don't think he bought it. Even if I had my own personal dishwasher it would be so much easier! Here's my "someday" dream: Have my own shop called "Sweets By Beth" and have people helping me bake (that I have trained) and more people helping me clean up, and make lots of money while making people happy with candy and cakes. Sounds awesome huh? For now, it's just me and the kitchen and I guess that's OK too because I really do love it! Beth

Once you open your shop (and you will) I'll be a frequent and faithful customer even if I have to order it in advance to ship!

Sounds fun & busy! :-) You could always just get another couple bowls for the mixer; not sure how much they are, but probably less than a whole 'nother mixer, LOL... of course, then you'd need more attachments, too... ;-)

Sounds like fun! My mom said your divinity is the best. Good luck with all the baking.
