Say Uncle!

This was such a fun Monday! Kirk's brother, Ryan came to visit for a few days, so Kirk took work off and we let the kids stay home. They were SO excited to skip school AND play in the snow before it melted!

We decided to go to Chuck E Cheese, but had to wait until they were done digging up the road...I love this picture! Even the "big" boys are entertained!

We had a ball at Chuck E Cheese, and Ryan played with the boys. He's such a great uncle! We haven't seen him for over a year-this is the first time he's met Tayla! He is fun to be with and reads to the boys, plays video games with them and just hangs out with them!

After that we went to pick out a Christmas tree. The boys had so much fun decorating it! We have a "homemade" christmas tree. 95 % of our ornaments are hand made by family. It felt like a cheesy Halmark comercial when we started looking at the ornaments and talking about them, it's a great memory for the boys. So, this is the tree: (not fancy, but very sentimental)

And for the best part of the day....Kirk bought me this last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My ring dilema has been solved by this steal of a deal on a ring with twice the diamonds as my old one (there's 21, and they are much bigger!) but at half the price. I feel like I just got engaged again! I couldn't be happier. It still needs to be sized, but hopefully by this weekend my new ring will be on my finger for a very long time! Isn't it pretty?! I feel incredibly spoiled, loved and giddy. Yes, I used the word giddy because I can't stop smiling and looking at it! Anyway, what a wonderful end to a fun day. Beth

Wow!! You have such a sweet husband. He picked out a terrific ring.

The boys look like they are having so much fun. You are a better woman than I. I would be going nuts If I couldn't leave my driveway whenever I wanted.

I love your tree. We have an ecclectic assortment as well. I love pulling them all out and reliving the memories associated with each one. :( Mine are all packed this year. I keep telling myself that that will make next year even more special.

How wonderful! Sounds like you guys had a great time. What happened to your ring? I can see were your boys got some of their looks from. Merry Christmas.

Beautiful new ring! And what a fun "uncle-nephews" time; little boys need lots of grown-up boys - er, men - to play with!!! :-) (And the men need them! ;-) Way to prioritize!!! :-)

Beautiful ring! Did he pick it out all on his own?
