Oh boy what a long drought I've had of not blogging! I have missed it for sure, and need to catch up on all my favorite blogs! Tayla is doing very well now. We had a few bad nights and she is now on soy formula and happy as can be. It has been a nice break for me and I don't feel so guilty anymore because Kirk and Tayla have this great bond now. She likes him to hold her before bed and just seems to go to him without looking for me. The boys have also enjoyed feeding her and helping her. I was allmost feeling a little selfish with her and nursing her and kept her to myself. I did all the feedings and bedtimes and just took over. It has been a surprising blessing to have her wean herself. I can see the benefits to breast feeding and bottle feeding, and think this has been a huge lesson for me. I wanted to give a little run down of our trip these past 6 days. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed ourselves. Wednesday we went to Toole, Utah and stayed with our good friends-Rebecca and Phil Philips. I've missed them so so much...they were such good friends and we always went on dates and had cook outs. They have a very cute house in the nicest area. There is a park accross the street and it has a real neighborhood feel to it. We played baseball, video games, went to a very fun indoor water park and really enjoyed ourselves.

Thanks so much to our friends for feeding us and making us feel so welcome!!!
After Toole we headed to Kearns to stay with our other good friends-Debbie and Matt Murdock. They have a HUGE house! I kept saying you could get lost in it! The boys had so much fun and a big bonus was her daughter Maryn is potty trained and Dallin all of a sudden decided to potty train too!!!! He hasn't had one accident since we got home, and it is nothing short of a miracle! Maryn was so cute to Tayla and helped me A LOT with her. She is going to be a great big sister and a huge help to her mom when the new baby comes!
We also visited the copper mines and the boys enjoyed seeing all the big trucks and rocks. It was pretty cool!

Kirk's brother Kent lives just around the corner from the Murdocks and we were able to visit them and thier new baby James. He is so so cute and we all fell in love with him! We were able to see him blessed on Sunday and spent a fun afternoon with Amanda's family playing games and volleyball.
Thanks to debbie for cooking EVERY meal for us-even breakfast!!! Our stay was so nice and her home is beautiful. What great friends we have! Oh ya, I wanted to make it a little easier when the baby comes, so when you get a chance check your storage room....I know I am a jerk :)

On our way home we got to see the new Twin Falls temple and visit Kirk's grandparents in Buhl (a little town outside of Twin) We brought them dinner and had a nice visit with them. They found a birds nest and sadly a few little babies who had fallen out of the nest so Kolby helped bury them.

Tayla and Great grandma Allred her only Great Grandma left.

Logan with the bird nest.
We had a great trip and can't believe all the things we packed into a few days! I wish we could have done more, but next time we will be able to visit the rest of the family in Utah. It sure is nice to be home! Beth

Welcome back!!! :-) Glad you guys had such a wonderful vacation!!! And that's so great that Tayla's doing better now! :-) Yay!!!!! :-)
HOORAY...Success on the potty!!! We're so proud of you Dallin. Uh yeah, I happen to find your little surprise in the storage about a half hour after you left putting away the baby toys. I wrote a nice e-mail with the subject heading "dirty rats". And that was Matt's same comment! Thank you by the way! Just because you're a few hundred miles away doesn't mean that we still can't scheme! We're glad you guys made it safely back home. Maryn asked when Dallin was going to come back and play and if baby Tayla was going to come live with us.
