Changing Seasons!

This is the last week of school! My boys are so excited for summer to start. And so am I! We have lots of fun stuff to keep us busy all summer...campouts, a trip to Utah, swimming lessons, tennis lessons, camps, a trip to Montana and Yellowstone, a season pass to the Discovery Center, a new library close by and lots of fun in the parks around town. It will fly by I'm sure! As for Tayla and her nursing strike, I am sad to report this is the end of nursing. I have tried every day for two weeks to get her to nurse again. I have no more options and decided not to keep pumping (which takes a lot of time and is not possible this summer with all the activities!) I feel bad. I have never had this happen before and I just wasn't ready to wean her yet. She is so happy and healthy though and I know I gave her a great start. Happy June! Beth

I'm sorry Tayla's decided to wean already... I know it's kind of abrupt when the two of you finally come to an impasse! But she's had nine months' worth of a great start!!! :-) And she's getting so big - you've done everything you could do, and she'll be fine! :-)

I know how important it is to nurse and sorry Tayla didn't come around. Girls seem to have a mind of their own I'm noticing and it's hard them to convince them to do otherwise once they've made up their mind. On a positive note just think of the new found freedom you will be able to have this summer like Kirk feeding her :)
