I'm still here!

Well, I am a little late to report, but our anniversary turned out wonderful! I found a sitter for the boys and my sister took Tayla so we were able to have a nice romantic dinner at the Melting Pot! We were in a little room with only two booths and it was so cozy and private. We had fun with all the wonderful fondue and after the four course dinner (and about two hours later!) we came back to reality. It was so much fun I didn't even worry about the kids at all! The next day (Saturday) we had a bowling party for Logan. It was very energetic with all those boys!!! Kirk stayed home with Tayla and Dallin and I took on seven boys with bowling balls! We had a blast, and afterwards we had pizza at our house. Logan turned nine on Monday and had a fun birthday. He got an x-box from a friend and we got him lots of comic books. He is in heaven!! I had to re do our chore chart because nothing was getting done. And he can't play games until his chores are done. This is all new for us, we never have had anything like the x-box and we are still setting rules about it.
I have a wonderful announcement: We are debt free!!! Well, except for the house. But all the credit cards are paid in full and are now collecting dust on my dresser. We are committed to making this work. I guess I need to curb my spending (especially when I see all the cute clothes for Tayla!) And I need to realize my wants vs. my needs. I know, I'm a grown up now, but I really like to spend money. Now I just have to wait and save up when I really want something.

Another fun thing we did was on Friday the boys had a half day and I told them we were going somewhere we have never been. I took them to the new library branch at Hillcrest shopping center (only a mile from our house!) They seemed disappointed at first, but then like magic all the boys found lots of books they liked! We checked them all out and then got milkshakes at Big Bun (the best!) It was fun and I love the little branch. I could watch the boys as I looked for books too and they didn't get lost. I did find an awesome book about cheesecake, so watch out as I experiment to find the one with flawless results. Anyway, I need to go, but wanted to give a quick update! Happy Tuesday. Beth

You will LOVE being debt-free! We worked really hard to pay off cards early in our marriage, too, and it has been SUCH a blessing not to have that sword hanging over our heads! :-)

So glad your anniversary & all went well, too! That is WONDERFUL :-).

And yes, I LOVE the Big Bun! :-) Only been there once or maybe twice, but it was GREAT! :-)
