This post will be full of random thoughts and pictures since I haven't posted in a while and have so much to share with my loyal readers! First here is a picture of the cheesecakes I made for the Relief Society birthday diner. There are three New York style-topped with cherries, raspberries and fresh fruit (I love the cute star fruit!) and two turtle cheesecakes (in the middle) and one triple chocolate cheesecake which is the first one I made and it was so good I made it for my Birthday as well. There is also a picture of my green theme creation for our cooking group. I cut cucumbers, hollowed out the middle, piped some veggie cream cheese in it, cut a snow pea pod and opened it up to look like a butterfly and set it on a wheat cracker. They were so very cute and springlike and I wanted to share it with you.(this was not my idea I got it from a pampered chef book!)
Next I wanted to share my dear Tayla with her chicken pox. We made it through a LONG spring break with the sick children who didn't really feel sick....and I am so glad school is back in session! Her pox are allmost all healed and she shouldn't have any scars from them. 
Last I have to tell you about my birthday. We ordered Chinese and had a huge feast on that, and then the spoil Mommy day began. I got great presents this year. It eased the pain of turning 31. I got a 5.5 qt sauter pan with a glass lid. I have made dinner in it allmost every night this week! It is awesome. I got the Alicia Keyes CD (love her) and the Michael McLean silver anniversary 5 disc set. I got some baskets and containers for organizing in my kitchen. My sister gave me a gift certificate to my fav. scrapbook shop-It's All About Me. My Mom gave me a book she made with pictures of me from birth through high school-It is so much fun to look at!!! And last but not least I got something that will keep on giving....a LAPTOP!!! I have been wanting one for years and just felt too guilty spending money on one. But the frustration of my computer overcame my guilt and I am in heaven with my new friend. I can go to digi-scrap parties now and work at the library on my projects. I am so glad. So there you have it, a wonderful birthday this year. This Friday is our 12th anniversary and we are attempting an evening out without any kids (not even the baby) I really want to go to the Melting Pot....and maybe buy a fun new outfit to wear, so we will see. Is it just me or is she so so photogenic? I get the best shots of her, and believe me I am no photographer!!!

Oh my goodness, poor Tayla!!! We all had chicken pox when we were little, but it never looked like such a scourge - poor kiddo (& Mommy!)!!! At least she looked fairly happy in the face pic - hope she wasn't too uncomfortable!!!
Poor Tayla! At least it's now and not when she is older. You're cheesecakes look fabulous! Do you by chance ever share your recipes? I was thinking about a strawberry cheesecake with shortbread crust you gave me for my birthday one year(HOW I MISS THOSE). Sounds so yummy right now! If you go to melting pot you'll have to tell me what it's like and if the food is good.
