Fun Friday

The boys are off school today and I'm letting them just hang out, watch favorite shows, make a slide out of blankets on the stairs and just basically have a fun relaxed day. I don't like overscheduling them because they come up with a lot of fun things to do on thier own. Kolby said he had the best day yesterday because he caught a praying mantis. He also caught a "leaf bug" and a huge grasshopper. He has been feeding the mantis crickets and the leaf bug rice. He takes great care of them and hopes they live until Monday so he can share them at school. He has always been facinated by bugs and spiders. I am scared of spiders and any creepy crawlies so it works out great for me because he catches them all.
GCCS had an assembly on Thursday which the boys loved. It was a group of women who played African drums. I noticed today on Preston's pre-school schedule his field trip next month is the Children's ER at St. Lukes! He will like going there for fun and not for an injury.
We are going out to dinner with my parents tonight for a late B-day present to Kirk. It will be fun. I don't mind an evening out with adult conversation! I usually make the boys a special dinner and have some snacks for when the sitter is here. They practically push us out the door! I love deep thoughts and I found a website that had hundreds of them! I printed them off and can't stop laughing. They get funnier the more you read, especially if it's late at night. Anyway, this isn't a very organized blog. My mind can't focus with all the interuptions. I am looking forward to general conference this weekend and hope I can focus on some of the sessions. I like reading them more actually, but hearing them is good too. I'd better go and get things ready for tonight. Beth
