Tayla LOVES art! She has been developing her own sweet style and never seems to tire of making me artwork. Within the past months she has been making me hearts. This is just a small part of the hearts she has made me!! I have a laminating machine and have been laminating them so they don't tear and get ruined. I love them! Each one also has a sweet note on the back.
One day I saw these on the counter. She wanted me to buy the hearts!! I wanted them so bad because they are so pretty so I was able to pay her one dollar for them.
She came home with this paper from school. I think it's really good especially for a Kindergartner!!
We worked really hard and cleaned off our deck. I promised Tayla we would have an art table on it. We finally had some time on Sunday and sat outside doing art for hours!! It was really fun!! She made me a beautiful painting and on the back glued and pieced together a note from wooden letters. It took her a really long time!
Here's the finished project
I had to document Tayla's first selfies. She was so excited to take them!
I've been baking a ton and she happily licks the bowls and beaters! (I am still using my KitchenAid much more than my Bosch, but that is another post on its own!!)
Tayla also lost her other front tooth and looks adorable!
And then we chopped her hair off. I had to BEG her. For weeks! When that didn't work I told her I'd buy her a card for the shave ice shack. She was so excited for that offer and went in for a haircut the next day! I was just so tired of fighting her about combing her hair. It was horrible and she was in tears all morning. This style is so much easier and I think it really suits her personality!
And now this week was the last day of school and her "moving up" celebration. She was so sad! She loves school so much and didn't want it to end.
First Day
Last Day
They had such a cute program! She even sang her first solo at a microphone!! It was the verse from the song "moving on up" I was so proud of her! (Sorry the pictures are bad, they are from the video camera I used since my camera is broken!)
I will miss all these kids! I've been room mom all year long and have helped every week in class. You get to know the kids so well and I just adore them! I can't even imagine being a teacher and letting go of your class every year! It's got to be hard. I'll see them all next year though in first grade!
Her old best friend Gia was even there!! They are visiting from Kansas! I love this picture of her two best friends!!! (Yes, she is tall! I have no idea where she got it from, but she's almost the tallest in her class.)
My parents came too and enjoyed seeing Tayla sing and "graduate" It was a really fun day!!
Now you are updated on the life of Tayla! This summer she is taking swimming lessons and a week long art camp (big surprise there!) I love to see her growing up into a smart, confident and beautiful girl. She is just an amazing daughter!!
