...I had my third boy. As a personal tradition on my kids birthdays I look through their baby books. It's always been my goal to make a really good first year book for each child and I'm so glad I did. There are so many things I had forgotten about having Preston. It was a warm spring day. I was induced around 7:30 and spent my time in the hot tub or near a window that had the prettiest purple tulips growing outside. It was so easy for me to focus and relax. It was so enjoyable (as enjoyable as labor can be anyway...) After my horrible experience with Kolby's birth, both Kirk and I couldn't believe how awesome this was! 4 1/2 hours later, we held a perfect 8lb 11oz boy in our arms. His head was so round and perfect and he had the cutest chubby cheeks!! It was crazy having 3 boys under the age of 3, but we felt like we waited forever with Preston! (Him and Kolby are 22 months apart) I still remember all the visits and meals and support from our church and family. It was by far one of my most memorable and happy times after having a baby. We're so glad to have Preston in our family! He is such a great worker and really enjoys the outdoors.
This is what he woke up to!!
I brought mini fruit pizzas on homemade sugar cookies to his class. They were a hit!!
I made a New York cheesecake for his birthday cake. For dinner we had grape soda, homemade mac & cheese, loaded mashed potatoes and bacon wrapped chicken. (sorry no pictures!!)
We got him a bike!! He's really excited about it, he is way too big for his old one.
Here's Preston with his gift from my Dad. A TENt. It's so cute on the boys 10th birthdays all of them have gotten a tent. They really look forward to this gift!!
Blowing out his birthday candles
Happy Birthday to Preston!!!
