We spent the weekend in Utah to see the newest member of the Banister family blessed.
Russell Ryan Banister.
He is seriously a doll!! I had so much fun holding him and making him smile. Tayla LOVED him too! She asked if we could keep him. Thanks Ryan and Mary for letting us stay with you! Kirk's mom was there too and it was so good to see her.
Tayla and I also started watching the cutest set of twin boys twice a week for about 1/2 an hour. It flies by!! They are so adorable!! I am getting my baby fix for sure :) It is hard to explain how much I LOVE babies. Don't get me wrong, I love my "older" children, but there's nothing like a baby....sigh.
Anyway, another thing I LOVE is getting sweet, unexpected cards in the mail. At first I thought it was a birthday card, but it isn't my birthday for a month. It was a card full of wonderful compliments and thanks. I don't know why she wrote it, and I don't want to embarrass her, but it made my week!!! I was feeling like somewhat of a failure this morning as I looked at my house and the messy rooms, and wondering what I was thinking when I took on the job of homemaker and mother. I don't feel very good at it. I plow through the days and wonder where the time went and what did I get done? But her card made me realize that I am making a difference that others can see, and I hope that I always find time to serve not only my family but my friends and ward and neighbors. I know it is a big thing that I find joy in, and I hope my children carry on our "tradition" of serving others. Thank you for thinking of me.
The other thing I LOVED is this necklace...and I can't wait to get the one I ordered for a friend of mine. I hope it will help her remember her sweet baby boys.
This week is full of LOVE too, basketball games for Logan and Kolby, tap dance class!!!!(which is kicking my butt, but I am going to learn this if it kills me!) and I really need a date with my sweetie Friday. LOVE Beth

I can think of someone else that sends nice cards to people when they need it for no reason...Beth. :) So sad we keep missing you when you come down to Utah. I know your with family which is awesome but if it means me driving the kids up to see ya for a few minutes I'll do it :)
Yes, babies are pretty magical! :) What a cutie! (And Miss Tayla is downright ADORABLE "holding" him, LOL...)
And yay for thoughtful friends!!! :D Heavenly Father puts us together for a reason... wish I were better at doing things like that, too!
