"I'm glad they didn't knit me"

That's what Dallin said last night at the ER.  Yup, as I was preparing dinner for the missionaries around 5:00 I hear screaming and see Dallin covered in blood.  The boys were throwing a broken plastic baseball bat up in the tree to get something out and the broken edge came right down on Dallins eyebrow.  I am so glad it wasn't his eye!  To make matters worse, Kolby is the one who threw the bat.  He was so upset because a few years ago he was the one to swing the golf club that hit Dallin in the head and gave him his first set of stitches.  He even came with me to the hospital to help Dallin feel better.  What a sweet brother!!

It wasn't a huge gash, but since it is on his face and it wouldn't stop bleeding I took him in.  The doctor couldn't decide if she should stitch it or glue it.  We decided on the glue and I held gauze over his eye so the glue wouldn't get in it.  He was so so happy they didn't "knit" him.  The doctor thought this was hilarious!!

I missed the missionary dinner and my pre-school meeting, but was home just in time for Kirk to go to his meeting at 8:00.  Here's Dallin after he was glued.  They even washed his face for him and gave him a red popsicle.  He was pretty happy!  I think there's "one" in every family (you know what I mean?) and Dallin is mine.  Beth

Childhood would not be complete without getting a cut on the eye and scar and a story to tell about later.
