A lot of my attention had to go to the one year old, and boy was Tayla having a hard time! She wanted to sit in the baby toys, high chair and sleep in the playpen. She even wanted to eat the baby food and drink out of the baby cup. It was hard having her this way! My boys helped out so so much with the extra kids. It was really stressful keeping the house in order and meals on the table. I haven't felt this way since after Tayla was born. We did it though, and I pulled out everything I could think of to keep them from fighting. We made puppets, played playdough, made cakes and waffles, strung fruit loop necklaces, used pattern blocks, made marshmallow toothpick homes, watched movies, played at the church and tons of other things I can't even think of right now! On Thursday night I drove to Burley to drop the boys off. I am so glad my sister had a good trip and that I could do this for her! That's what sisters are for!!
Wednesday was Logan's birthday. We tried hard to make it special, but I was exhausted and didn't even make his favorite dinner! We did get Chinese and that made him really happy! On Friday we had a few friends sleep over. This whole tween thing is so confusing! The boys are just as hyper as any girls I have ever seen. We just put them in the basement and shut the door! They had a good time.
On Wednesday Kolby was in a district wide spelling bee. He won the 4th grade spelling bee for his school and got to compete in this one. He made it to the third round, and got out on the word coalition. He did great and we were so proud of him! Kolby also won an art contest and his piece goes on to another round of judging. He is doing so well in school!!
I wish all my busy days were behind me, but this week I will be busy with the final plans for our big pre-school fundraiser-a bicycle rodeo. I am excited for it, and only pray we don't get rained on since the event is outside. After that, things should slow down. I hope.
That's all for now! Have a great week! And don't forget to breathe :)

There's nothing better than the busy life of a mom!
I came by to welcome you to SITS! We're happy to have you with us!
You're such a good mommy/aunt...You should post all you're creative endeavors to keep kids busy on a post to help us non creative people with ideas. And it NEVER slows down!
And on top of that, you watched Elise for us on Friday! If I would have been in your shoes, I may have turned it down. You're AMAZING! Thanks!
Kolby, great job on the spelling bee, I am impressed. I remember I was in a spelling bee once and misspelled refrigerator. I don't think I will ever forget. I would love it if your art was posted on this blog so I can see it. I am glad you are doing so well in school. Good job!
