Remember a few months back when I did this???
Well, now it has turned into this!!!!
And that is only half of the stuff because three boys are at school. I need some help here! I need ideas that don't look too tacky because this is part of my front room. (Allthough anything would look better than this at the moment!!!) I clean this area all the time, but there really is no place for bags, coats, extra shoes etc.
I think some black lockers would look cool here. Any ideas?
Thanks! Beth

You can do what we do and threaten your kids you'll throw all their stuff away if you see it in the front hallway. j/k Don't they have those wood plaques with coat hangers and a shelf above the hooks? Does that make sense? So at least the coats and the backpacks would be hung up and the scriptures and anything else important could go on top? Kirk is handy he could probably make it...just make sure he puts enough hooks on it for each family member. Just a thought.
Maybe you can find a solution on here that kirk can make....

I was just coming to suggest the same place as Wendy!! i have always liked these. http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com/2010/04/bragging-board-20-yes-20-reader.html
I'm considering them for my entry way as well.
I so understand your frustration Beth! This is what I asked Mike to make right after we moved in to keep all the kids stuff organized. It's in the playroom, right inside the garage door. I too had thought of the locker style at first but I ended up deciding it would be too overwhelming in that spot so this is what we went with. It's at the bottom of this post.

It doesn't stay that clean all the time. The kids are expected to put their things away but sometimes that means throwing their stuff in the general direction of the bench. It's on someone's chore list to clean it up everyday so it does stay pretty picked up for the most part. Hope that helps!
