A few details....

Here are some other little things I have added to my kitchen:

I can't believe my shelf got this bad, but you have to see this before picture to appreciate the after:

Before:

Nice huh? I only hope I can keep it this way! I use this shelf for many things: bills, cookbooks, phone books/address books, reminders, school information and home notebooks. It's like a mini office in the kitchen corner. (our kitchen is pretty small, so this is the biggest thing I can fit in the corner!)

After:

This is a fun magnet board my SIL got me (she works for DCWV) I use it to hold appointment cards, pictures and phone numbers. It's so handy and very cute!






I broke out the power tools to attach this hook to hold our keys. I should have taken a before picture of what we had before, but let's just say this is much smaller and won't keep falling off the wall. And look at the cute cover I found for my light switch!

And finally, I picked up this plastic table cover at Bed Bath and Beyond. I LOVE tablecloths, but hate washing them, so this is my solution. It has proven it's worth today all ready because during lunch Tayla dumped her milk all over and Dallin spilled his mashed potatoes. It wiped up so easily! It is a little tacky, but it saves my sanity at mealtimes and is worth the "tack" (I taped it under the table so Tayla wouldn't pull it off.)

I have spent the rest of the day cleaning up the kitchen and making dinner for my poor kids who have had pizza and leftovers for dinner all week. I definitely cook better when Kirk is around! My last item for the kitchen is decorating the wall. Hope to have it done soon! Beth
