Hooray for my two adorable cub scouts! Kolby earned his Bobcat and Logan his Bear. I am starting to get the hang of this whole scouting thing after a few years and it's turning out to be pretty fun! I even get a pin to wear. (They know Mom's are the driving force behind these awards I guess!) Good Job boys!!!!
I don't know why, but I felt like writing about my curly hair. It cursed me for many many years until I figured out how to tame it! It starts with the right hair cut. Lightly layered works for me or a short cut that sits on the neck. Without the layers my hair is too heavy and the curls don't come through. After a shower using curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner I put a little bit of Herbal Essences totaly twisted moose in my hair. It helps the curls but doesn't make my hair too "crusty." I then flip my head over and dry the roots really well, flip my head back up spray in some Aussie Sprunch spray in and gently scrunch my hair. That's it!

I also love getting highlights which blend in well with the curls and add some "style" My hairdresser told me she has many clients who pay a lot of money to get the curly look I have. And thanks to flat irons, I can have straight hair too.
It has taken a while, but I have learned to live with my curly hair and even love how easy it is to fix and go. I sometimes use a curling iron to enhance some curls, if I have time.

Your hair is very pretty. My sister has cork screw curly hair and has felt cursed for a long time too. Coming from someone with very staight hair, I think a happy medium would be nice. Love the black and white.
