I'm still here!!

I haven’t written for a while due to some technical problems with our computer and just being busy with life! Kirks parents arrived on Thursday last week just in time to see our poor dishwasher door split in two. We knew it would break any day but it was nice timing. Kirk’s dad helped us take out the old one, shop for a new one and install the new one. I love it so much and it works so well and holds much more than my old one! This project took the whole day though and all thoughts of the nursery were pushed aside. Friday they cut the baseboards for the nursery and put those in and they add just the right touch to the room! We held off on putting up the crib though because the floors were in such need of repair we decided to refinish them while we had the whole room emptied. We are halfway finished with the sanding (which is a long process) and then we will stain it. It will be so beautiful and I won’t have to buy a carpet to cover them up. Then there was the case of the broken window. No one will admit to this, but it is a large break and looks very bad. We also have two other broken windows so we decided to see about new windows. We got an awesome deal on some great windows with a lifetime guarantee-if they break they replace them! These windows are so strong though they won’t break if pounded by a hammer! We are doing our large front room window, two in our bedroom, two in the nursery, one in the kitchen and two in the boys rooms downstairs. They don’t let the heat in or out and will save us a lot on our energy bills too! I am very excited about this, but they won’t be installed until after the baby comes (we’ll get them in about 6-9 weeks). Check them out at www.Amext.com On Saturday with Kirk’s parents we drove to Idaho City and spent the day there and at lucky peak and arrowrock dam. It was pretty fun and the boys had fun looking for rocks and playing in the creek. I was pretty tired from all our adventures but on Sunday we decided to go to Buhl and visit Kirk’s grandparents. It was pretty hot there too, but my boys had fun playing with the kitties and finding bugs in the garden (Kolby found a mantis!) Monday was back to work and the boys had their last day of tennis lessons yesterday. It has been so much fun for them and they have improved a lot!! We will definitely be playing more this fall and spring and I’m just excited they love it. Kolby turned seven on Wednesday and had a fun birthday with his favorite dinner-grilled steaks, baked potatoes, cantaloupe, corn on the cob and cheesecake covered with summer fruits like raspberries, strawberries, kiwis and bananas. We had some friends over to have dessert with us and it was really fun. The potatoes and corn we got from Grandpa in Buhl and they were so yummy! Kolby kept telling me we should have gotten more! They have this huge garden and we love to eat the fresh veggies! Anyway, here we are on Friday and I am 33 weeks along now. I only gained one pound in two weeks and I should be gaining one a week, so darn I need to eat a little more J Healthy of course!!! And Dr West the best Dr ever told me he has no problems starting me a week early because of my history of never going into labor. I never knew a week could make me so happy, but it really does!! It is crazy how many women are pregnant in our ward-nine I think! And we are all due from the end of August to the middle of September. I went to a baby shower last night and there were four of us in a row sitting there! Most of us are having girls too so it will be fun to have lots of girls the same age. Well, this post better not get any longer or I may fall asleep! Have a fun weekend everyone!
Beth
