Today we had such a good lesson on happiness in Relief Society. It made me so thankful for all my blessings-the ones that bring me such happiness. Things like my family and friends who mean so much to me and things like the gospel and things that really matter that can't be bought. I have seen others on a constant search for what will make them happy...the bigger house, the better car, the degree, new clothes, bigger and better things that can satisfy for a time, but aren't lasting. There's always something newer, bigger and better and you will never be truly happy. It may make you happy for a time, but it won't last. I look to my children for the ultimate example of this. They are happy finding a bug, or running through the sprinkler. They love to run in the mud and pick a fresh tomato. It's so nice to be reminded daily of the things that children see and value. It keeps my perspective in check and keeps me grounded. Anyway just wanted to share that and hope everyone is able to find true happiness!

I would have loved to hear that lesson. That's my struggle in life to just be happy. I'm happy when I'm in the company of other people but if I get too much time on my hands it gets hard. I'm not neccesarily sad but sometimes I feel like I'm just existing. The thing is I have it really good! Thanks for always being an example to me.
It's always good to be reminded of this! Thanks Beth!
