Many lessons were learned this past week. I missed Kirk so so much, but it was such a good experience for both of us. I realized how well I really do run my household, I took care of the boys, food, bills, laundry, carpools, church (twice alone with 4 kids!!!), and somehow managed to keep my sanity. It helped me feel much more confident in myself and all the things I can do. It also made me feel very loved and even flattered when we picked up Kirk at the airport and he had the biggest smile on his face. I don't know why, but I wanted him to miss me and his crazy family life. He did. We had a nice night, everyone decked out in their new Florida t-shirts, and Kirk fell asleep early, leaving me with bedtime and dinner duties. It was allright though because he was home, in his rightfull place on the couch.
