I remember two years ago in Relief Society I stood and gave my testimony. It was the Christmas season and I was thinking how much I enjoyed having my kids all there on Christmas morning and our doing our quirky traditions that I didn't even realize were traditions. With tears in my eyes I said I wished I could freeze time. But kids grow and change and they leave...and others are born! And here I am thinking my life will never be the same and time doesn't freeze. And it's ok. It's hard, but it's ok. I miss Logan so much it hurts. I've never been without him more than two weeks and this is the third week he's at the MTC. It's been so hard not talking every day and getting the details of his life. But I can see the wisdom in Heavenly Father's plan. It wasn't a coincidence that Hazel was born the same day his call came in the mail. It was like I got my mission call as well. To take care of this beautiful baby girl. She has been a beautiful distraction. She is the reason I don't stay in bed and cry every morning. She is the reason I get up and get dressed and keep moving. She needs me for everything and I want to be healthy and present for her. My sweet Hazel. She has blessed my life more than I can say and I thank Heavenly Father every day for her. Yes, my life will never be the same. And I'm so glad time didn't freeze. You never know how much better things can get.
