March on in!!

I LOVE March!!  It's such a fun month!  Lots of birthdays, lots of sunshine (I hope!) and lots of fun things to look forward to.  I am really excited for the Relief Society dinner I am in charge of.  Only 8 days left to finish the decorations, desserts and final touches.  It's going to be AMAZING!!!!!  Here's a little peak at what I've been working on....

Our menu is amazing and sooooo yummy!!!!!

I've had tons of help from my awesome family and a lot of sisters in the ward!!!  I should have 20 large and over 50 small flowers when we're done!  I also can't wait to show you what I'm putting in the jars.  I'll be so busy this week finishing up on the final touches!  I really hope the sisters come to the dinner.  I've been talking it up every week and I just know if they come they will have a great experience!

A crazy thing happened on our way home from Kolby's basketball game on Friday.  I was driving down Garden street (the whole family was in the car) and I saw just ahead of me a boy on his bike getting dragged off by this huge dog!  I quickly pulled over and by the time I got to him the dog had let him go and was chasing after a runner down the street who was yelling at the dog.  He was crying really hard and had bite marks on his arm and leg.  It tore right through his jacket.  He was probably 4 or 5.  We called 911 and I decided to get the boy home to his parents.  A neighbor of the boy just happened to be driving by and offered to take him home and gave me his address to give to the police.  This dog was crazy.  We sat in the van waiting for animal control and had several other people who worked at a business across the street wait as well since they witnessed the attack too.  It was barking at us the entire time and we warned people who were biking or running by to be careful.  When the police arrived we gave our accounts and the police were going to talk to the boy and his parents.  The dog owners weren't home, but they managed to get the dog into the backyard.  This dog has ALWAYS given us problems.  It is never leashed and has chased several of my kids on their bikes before and I've seen it chase bikers and runners several times.  I was shocked to see it attacking though because this kid was riding across the street and wasn't even near the property.  I'm really glad I instantly pulled over and offered my assistance.  You always wonder what you'll do in crazy situations like this, but the momma bear in me totally took over!  I hope that little kid is ok and I really hope that dog is contained in the future!!   Beth
