Eight on the Eighth!

Dallin turned eight on the eighth!  I can't believe he's eight now.  That just seem so old and he's still my little guy!  We did a lot of the celebrating on the 7th, I brought these yummy fruit cookies to his class at school.  All the kids loved them!

We had his dinner on Friday because on Saturday we had meetings and didn't have time for his dinner.  He had fun opening all kinds of gifts from Grandpa and Grandma and the family.

I didn't get a picture of dinner, not sure why.  He chose pork chops with sauce, mashed potatoes, garden veggies and grape pop.  For his cake I made a raspberry swirl cheesecake.  It was yummy!!!

I didn't want his birthday to be less special, so I let him pick anything he wanted for breakfast.  He chose Taco Bell chicken quesadillas.  Really?  He's so funny!!  We then went to the movies (even Kirk!) and watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  We also went to Dairy Queen and got treats.  He somehow got it into his head that he could get anything he wanted because it was his birthday.  It was so funny!  He was "ordering" us around like he was a king.

Being the fourth boy isn't easy, but Dallin is doing really well at it!  He's funny and outgoing and really really smart.  We're so glad he's in our family.  We really look forward to the 13th of October when he gets baptized.  Another thing he loves is he can go to Cub Scouts now too and he really likes it.  Finally after 5 years of going to pack meetings with his older brothers, he gets to go!  I'm so excited for him.
We love you Dallin!!!  Beth

Happy Birthday Dallin! I can't believe how tall and grown up you've become. Sidenote: Beth you always find the most beautiful looking fruit for your desserts.
