I wanted to do a whole post on girls camp, but if you've ever been you know how HARD it is to sum up the experience! So many things happened, so many good wonderful things. I love the girls so much and we really bonded as we worked and played and sang and cried together. I feel so very blessed to have had the chance to go, and know it was where I needed to be. I had so much fun doing all the girls hair (twice!!) and I am proud to say after 15 years of pleading with all the young women I have ever worked with, I have finally found a group of girls who aren't scared to carry on the tradition of my favorite skit: Water Conservation. You have to see it to believe it!! These girls are amazing and I will always treasure our camp experience together!! It took a few days to get recovered and unpacked, but it was worth it!!
After I came home I started to prepare for the fair and decided that my cooking doesn't need an award to tell me it is amazing :), so I didn't enter anything this year. Maybe next year, the timing was just so bad, and I didn't need all the extra stress!! My kids did enter some art and a huge sunflower head from our garden. I am now frantic about getting all the clothes everyone needs for school (at least all the supplies are DONE!!) Logan has started football practices!!! And swimming lessons are now over (HUGE CHEER!!) I am more than excited to have school start...they find out their teachers and classes today, and then on Wednesday it is go time. I look forward to another year of volunteering and going to field trips and baking goodies for parties....It's going to be awesome!! Beth
