These last few weeks of summer were so so long and hard for us! I don't know if it was the hot weather or what, but boy am I glad it's over!!!
I now have an official 7th grader, which freaks me out a little bit.
He didn't even want a ride to school, he rode his bike! He has football practice after school, so it is nice for him to ride home from that. His first game is next Tuesday. How I feel about that is another post entirely...
Dallin is now a full day first grader, and loving it!! He really likes the social scene at school and is so smart. A little too smart I think....
Kolby is at the top of the school in 6th grade. I really think he will enjoy having this break from Logan's shadow. It's crazy that they are only a year apart in school!
Preston is in 4th grade now. He doesn't seem as nervous as he usually is, so I'm glad he is excited.
They didn't even want a ride to school!! The bus stop is just around the corner from our house. How did I get such independent kids?! I love it, but sometimes I wish they needed me more :) Ok, not really, there's only so much of me to go around!!
The rest of the day I prepared for our annual "Back to school feast" On the menu was chicken enchiladas, rice and strawberry pop. Mint ice-cream was dessert, but we were too full to eat it, so maybe today. Tayla enjoyed having the tv, computer and kitchen all to herself. I think we both will adjust nicely to this new schedule! I can't believe how much cleaning I got done. In a few weeks Tayla will start pre-school. She is so excited to make some new friends, and I am excited to help in the classroom. Here's to school days!!! Beth

Isn't amazing how much you can get done in your day with only 1 kid...not to mention how much easier it is to run errands.
Wow - congrats to you and Tayla on having the house back to yourselves. :) It was so wonderful to see all of you a few weeks ago - we miss you guys!
