Summertime in July

We've had a busy summer so far, I can't believe it's July all ready!!  This is a picture of Preston and I the Sunday he was confirmed a member of the church.  It was a great day and perfect that it was the 4th of July because that is his all time favorite holiday!!

My brother in law, Clint came for the weekend and helped Kirk build this awesome arbor for my wysteria tree.  I have  been wanting one for years now, and I am so glad my tree has somewhere to grow.  It wil have beautiful hanging purple flowers soon.  I also have great plans for this area.  I can't wait!

My garden is doing so awesome!  It is so exciting when the vegetables start growing!!

I planted tons of sunflowers this year, and this is the first one to open.  It just makes me happy when I see it!!

Yesterday we met some friends at Sandy Point beach for some hot summertime swimming.  It was really fun, not crowded, and just right for the hot day.  We came home a little burned, but had a great time.  I am always trying to find activities for the older and younger kids and this one was perfect!  The big kids swam out to the fountain and floated around on tubes and the smaller kids played in the shallow water and built towers in the sand.  We are going to have to do this one again (and you can't beat the price of only $5.00 a car!!!)

So there's a quick update of some summertime fun around here.  More swimming lessons, campouts and a Montana trip to come!!  Beth
