I am having some very tender feelings in my heart today as I reflect on this day to honor Father's. I have had some wonderful Fathers bless my life. I love them all dearly.
My own Father who raised me to be strong in the gospel and share his testimony and love with me often. He is my best friend and I trust him and freely talk to him. He blesses my life more than I can say, and each day is a gift with him.
My Grandfather who has been such an example of love and long-suffering. Even after losing his sweetheart he has gone on alone, yet she is always in His heart. I love him and I am so thankful my children know their Great Grandpa. He is always thinking of others and how to care for them.
My wonderful Father in law, who we miss so much. He seemed to have it figured out, and he taught Kirk so much about life and the gospel and love. His was a life of service and enjoying the little things. He often reminded me to keep things simple and just enjoy it, not stress. I miss his laugh and the funny things he would say.
There's just something special about Father's. Nothing gives comfort like a Father's hug, and nothing makes you want to do better than a Father's concern. I am thankful as well for Kirk, the wonderful Father of my children. He works hard and teaches my boys every day about helping others and doing your part. They are good workers because of him and his example. I love Kirk with all my heart and am so happy he is the man of our home, the Father of our home.
Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful men in my life!!! Beth
