By Monday the photographer had decided he liked EVERYTHING and wanted me to make them all and deliver by Thursday at 10:00. I was a bit overwhelmed! Have you ever tried to make 14 homemade treats that had to look picture perfect all at once? Neither had I! Most of the treats couldn't be made more than a day ahead of time either. Some of them couldn't be made until that morning!!! I spent time Tuesday shopping and gathering all my ingredients. I'm pretty good the planning and preparing so I don't have any missing ingredients. I made a list of everything I had to make and highlighted it as I finished. I didn't want to forget anything!!!
I started baking at 8:30, after the kids were all at school. I worked until 1:00, forced myself to take a "lunch break" and continued working until 3:00. I picked up kids from school and started working again at 5:00. I worked non stop until about 2:00 in the morning. I woke up early and finished a few more treats. It was a huge job!!! The worst part was I had to keep washing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen. Next time I'll have an assistant doing that!! It also took time to package each item meticulously so they wouldn't break or get ruined on the drive to Scentsy headquarters in Meridian! Here's a photo of all the desserts ready to be delivered!!
I was so relieved when I delivered all the boxes! I went home and slept for four hours!! Here's a few of the goodies I made:
If you want to see the treats featured on the Velata site, they post most of them on their facebook page. I have to admit it's been pretty cool seeing my work on their ads!! Beth
