Feeling needed

I've always looked for Heavenly Father's hand in my life, and yesterday I saw clearly how he has been guiding me to places where I feel needed.  After I was released from the Young Women presidency I felt like I wasn't needed anymore.  As part of the young women organization you are constantly busy on Sundays and Wednesdays.  I was so used to this routine!  Being needed by the girls and the other leaders.  Always serving and teaching.  That first Sunday as I sat in Relief Society instead of young women's I couldn't even hold it together!  One of the girls came in and gave me a hug and told me she missed me and I just started crying!  It was awful.  Thankfully a sweet friend was there by me to comfort me.  Well, about 10 minutes into the lesson the bishop came in and asked me to help him.  So I spent that first Sunday helping plan out a food order for someone.  (one of my new callings is the ward welfare specialist)  It took the entire time and I was relieved that I didn't have to sit through that Relief Society lesson feeling useless.  Well, the next week I was able to substitute for the Relief Society lesson!  It was such a blessing for me.  I was nervous because I hadn't been to RS for almost 5 years...but I just love teaching and I think the lesson turned out wonderful!  The next week I had a call to teach Dallin's class in primary.  I gladly accepted!  We had a break last weekend for conference and I knew Sunday would come and I'd have to go to RS again.  BUT I was called on to substitute for primary music leader.  It was so much fun!  I've been asked to substitute for the family history class next Sunday and I'm really excited to that, and the Sunday after that guess what?  I am teaching in Relief Society again!!  So somehow I have been needed every Sunday.  It seems like a lot of work for some, but it was exactly what I needed.
