Christmas spirit

I admit, I've been somewhat of a grump the first week this month.  I didn't like Christmas music, I didn't want to think about presents or cards or even decorations.  I don't know why, it just didn't seem exciting this year for some reason.  I'm really really busy with a lot of extra responsibilities and I think I just didn't open my heart to the spirit of the season.  I even caught myself wishing we could skip December all together.  I know that sounds awful, it's really how I was feeling though!!

I can't even tell you what changed all of it either.  Maybe it was watching this:  http://www.lds.org/broadcasts/archive/christmas-devotional/2012/12?lang=eng

Or doing this

Or maybe it was a change in my perspective.  A family we love is having a trial and seeing their faith has increased mine.

It's really hard to be grumpy when kids are around anyway!!  And sweet Tayla loves everything about Christmas.  She has arranged our nativity set a million times, loves to stare at the pictures of Jesus on the tree and asks to listen to Christmas music all the time.  She gets it.  She told me her favorite part of Christmas is baby Jesus.  She is such a wonderful child.  I wish I could just bottle her up and share it with the world.  It would be amazing.

Here's to another exciting Christmas season!!  Beth
