The Wild Things and sledding

My boys have been doing so great this week at chores so I took them to a movie. I made them pay though with some of their Christmas money (I know! Sounds mean, but they were more than willing to pay, so hey...) We saw Where the Wild Things Are. It wasn't what we were expecting, and it had so many levels to it. I understood it, and even teared up at the end, but the boys were going, "HUH?" The music was however amazing and I would love the soundtrack. After the movie the boys wanted to go sledding. I wasn't too thrilled with the idea, but realized the snow may not be around very long so I caved in and took them. I don't know any hot spots around here, and didn't want to go to Camels Back because I know they are so crowded. I remembered that Veteran's Park has a big hill so we tried it there. It was perfect! Not too big of a hill, not crowded at all, and someone had built a nice little jump out of snow.

Even Tayla enjoyed going down the hill!

When we were all sledded out, we went to the playground and had an awesome snowball fight! I have to say the boys really enjoyed getting to hit me with snow, but I got some good ones in too. Beth
