Just Give it Away!

I am on a roll with my de-cluttering this year. I have a hard time letting go of things. I am an emotional pack rat. Gifts, drawings, clothes you name it, I can remember who gave it to me or where I was when I bought it and it is so hard for me to let it go. I am ready for a change now. Maybe I am just tired of cleaning up all of this stuff all the time and never having room to put it. I used to think we needed a bigger house, but really we just need less things. So wish me luck in my efforts! I also think after nine years of the same kitchen decorations (apples) I am ready to re-do that too. I have taken all of the apple things down and am waiting for the inspiration of what to do now. Any suggestions? I want something simple and something I love. It might have to wait until after my trip. And one last beautiful picture of my princess...Beth

It's funny when you get the urge just to get rid of everything...it's almost liberating. Good luck on the kitchen ideas. It's so hard to visualize sometimes what things will look like. My sister in law is creative with that and did a grape theme then she decorated my mother in laws place with the an italian/olive theme. It was elegant!

Luck!!! First, I second Debs on the grape/Mediterranean/olive themes; second, cherries or sunflowers are fun... or you could go the "farm-y" route with cows or something... or frogs, maybe? I'm kind of partial to floral stuff recently, and there's always wheat or bees - "industry" and all - but my sis. had GREAT fun with the cherries, and you could still use your red-themed stuff!

beth, don't ask me how I got here, there is no way i'll be able to trace the path back to where I started! But i was searching for nursery ideas for my sister, and for some reason your blog popped up and it brought me here! :) When I saw your picture, I couldn't believe it! It was fun to read about your cute family, congrats on your baby! I'm bookmarking you, ok? :)
Hugs!
